OUR SOCIAL CRITERION

Social Criteria for Recovery Success: We at Minds United 57 outpatient online Certified Peer-based recovery support services believe the recovery has been a success if the following objectives have been achieved:

  • Diminish crime in the community

  • Diminish tax consumptive behavior

  • Diminish illicit substance use

  • Increase tax productive behavior

  • Increase personal well-being

There is an intimate connection between crime and drug use, an increase in crime perpetrated by drug abusers, and an unusually high rate of homelessness. Simply stated, there exists a causal relationship between the two entities. The reason for this is that one part of the participant's behavior has not been addressed. That part is their negative abusive behaviors. It appears self-evident that the above-stated features, and behavioral methods, should be addressed in recovery. At the same time, the research literature regarding what counselors pay attention to demonstrates an alarming disconnect. The issues of crime and employability take the lowest priority as shown by the treatment focus of counselors, professional or para professional, doctoral level, or high school level. This illustrates a tremendous potential problem; the oversight of not targeting the central issues for a successful, positive outcome is a catastrophe. Minds United 57 outpatient online Certified Peer-based recovery support services is the way!
